2.3 Settings

You can open and modify an extension-only set of MySQL Shell for VS Code settings or you can open and edit all setting, including those that apply to the MySQL Shell for VS Code extension. As with all Visual Studio Code settings, MySQL Shell for VS Code extension settings can be added and saved to the current user's settings.json file.

To open extension-only settings for MySQL Shell for VS Code

  1. Click the Extensions icon in the activity bar to open the view in the side bar.

  2. Click the Manage icon on the MySQL Shell for VS Code extension

  3. Select Extension Settings to open the Settings tab with extension settings only.

To open MySQL Shell for VS Code setting together with all settings

  1. Click the Manage icon in the activity bar.

  2. Select Settings to open the Settings tab with all categories of settings.

  3. Select the Extensions category and then select MySQL Shell for VS Code.

Some MySQL Shell for VS Code extension settings apply to specific editors. Other settings apply to all editors or to extension actions in general.
