MySQL Installer Release Notes  /  Changes in MySQL Installer 1.4.38 (2021-06-02)

Changes in MySQL Installer 1.4.38 (2021-06-02)

Bugs Fixed

  • An error during the upgrade of MySQL Installer could leave the installed manifest file in an invalid state, reducing the set of products or product versions shown in the dashboard. (Bug #32739817)

  • Commercial MySQL Installer was unable to authenticate user accounts for access into My Oracle Support (MOS). (Bug #32710937)

  • A server upgrade initiated from the command line emitted an error indicating that no targets were available for the installed version, however, the same server version could be upgraded by using the graphical MySQL Installer application. (Bug #32512265, Bug #102526)

  • If the data directory of a removed server was retained, and a new server version was installed and configured to reuse it, then MySQL Installer could not start the new server to finish the configuration. (Bug #30870218)

  • If a server was configured to use the Shared Memory protocol as the only connectivity type, the configuration setup failed because the protocol was not enabled properly. Similarly, the setup of a server configured with a combination of TCP/IP and Shared Memory was able to complete successfully, but it was not possible to establish a connection to the server using the Shared Memory protocol. (Bug #30336549, Bug #30351382)
