5.2.1 System Requirements

System requirements for using Heatwave Lakehouse.

DB System Requirements

• A HeatWave enabled MySQL DB System with Lakehouse support enabled.

  For a replicated MySQL DB System, see Section 5.8, “HeatWave Lakehouse Limitations”.

• Before MySQL 8.4.0, the HeatWave cluster must use 512GB shape on HeatWave on OCI. See: Adding a HeatWave Cluster in the HeatWave on OCI Service Guide.

• As Of MySQL 8.4.0, the HeatWave cluster can use 32GB or 512GB shape on HeatWave on OCI and 256GB shape on HeatWave on AWS. See: Adding a HeatWave Cluster in the HeatWave on OCI Service Guide and HeatWave on AWS Service Guide.
