Connecting to a DB System from the MySQL HeatWave Console requires a Oracle Cloud Account user name and password for signing into the MySQL HeatWave Console, and a MySQL user account for connecting to the DB System.
Connecting to a DB System from the MySQL HeatWave Console is performed on the Workspaces page, where you can manage HeatWave Cluster data and use the Query Editor to run DB System and HeatWave queries. For more information, see Chapter 7, Managing HeatWave Data, and Chapter 8, Running Queries.
To connect to a DB System from the MySQL HeatWave Console:
Sign-in to the MySQL HeatWave Console. For instructions, see Section 2.3, “Signing In”.
Select the Workspaces tab in the MySQL HeatWave Console.
Select a DB System from the drop-down menu.
Enter a MySQL user name and password for the DB System. You can use the MySQL Administrator user that you specified when creating the DB System (see Section 3.2, “Creating a DB System”) or a MySQL user account created on the DB System using
CREATE USER
. If you are not the MySQL Administrator and you do not have a MySQL user account, have your MySQL Administrator create one for you.Click
