Functionality Added or Changed

• The MySQL server, bundled with MySQL Enterprise Service Manager, has been upgraded to MySQL 8.0.29.

• The bundled JRE was updated to 1.8.0_331 for both the Agent and Service Manager.

• The Tomcat server, bundled with MySQL Enterprise Service Manager, has been upgraded to 8.5.78.

• Log files now are managed with log4j2, which is configured using log4j2.xml rather than log4j.properties. In case of an upgrade, the old log4j.properties file is kept for reference.

• The OpenSSL libraries used by MySQL Enterprise Monitor installers have been upgraded to 1.1.1n.

• As of this release, and as announced on the EOL announcement page, macOS 10.15 is no longer a supported platform for MySQL products.

• The Rickshaw graph library bundled with MySQL Enterprise Monitor is upgraded to version 1.7.1.

Bugs Fixed

• MySQL Enterprise Service Manager has been updated to use Apache Log4J 2.17.1, which has been publicly reported as not vulnerable to CVE-2021-45105.

• The welcome message shown in the What’s New section of the Help menu had the wrong version of MySQL Enterprise Monitor, but the correct version appeared in the status bar (lower right corner). Now, all of the versions shown are updated to the current version.

• Some edit actions were not visible on the Advisors page and the related settings could not be specified.
