MySQL Router is a building block for high availability (HA) solutions. It simplifies application development by intelligently routing connections to MySQL servers for increased performance and reliability.

MySQL Router officially supports active MySQL Server versions equal to or below the MySQL Router version. For example, MySQL Router 9.1 officially supports MySQL 8.0, 8.4, and 9.1. As of MySQL Router 9.2.0, MySQL Router does not support versions from a newer series, such as MySQL Server 9.3.
