17.1.3 Verifying that InnoDB is the Default Storage Engine

Issue a SHOW ENGINES statement to view the available MySQL storage engines. Look for DEFAULT in the SUPPORT column.

mysql> SHOW ENGINES;

Alternatively, query the Information Schema ENGINES table.
