Detailed Description

A stop event is written to the log files under these circumstances:

  • A master writes the event to the binary log when it shuts down.
  • A slave writes the event to the relay log when it shuts down or when a RESET REPLICA statement is executed.

Binary Format

The Post-Header and Body for this event type are empty; it only has the Common-Header.

Constructor & Destructor Documentation

◆ Stop_event() [1/2]

mysql::binlog::event::Stop_event::Stop_event ( )
inline

It is the minimal constructor, and all it will do is set the type_code as STOP_EVENT in the header object in Binary_log_event.

◆ Stop_event() [2/2]

mysql::binlog::event::Stop_event::Stop_event ( const char *  buf,
const Format_description_event fde
)

A Stop_event is occurs under these circumstances:

  • A master writes the event to the binary log when it shuts down
  • A slave writes the event to the relay log when it shuts down or when a RESET REPLICA statement is executed
    Parameters
    bufContains the serialized event.
    fdeAn FDE event (see Rotate_event constructor for more info).
