Warning

This extension was deprecated in PHP 5.5.0, and it was removed in PHP 7.0.0. Instead, the MySQLi or PDO_MySQL extension should be used. See also MySQL: choosing an API guide and related FAQ for more information. Alternatives to this function include:

Description

string mysql_get_client_info();

mysql_get_client_info returns a string that represents the client library version.

Return Values

The MySQL client version.

Examples

Example 6.33 mysql_get_client_info example

<?php
printf("MySQL client info: %s\n", mysql_get_client_info());
?>

The above example will output something similar to:


MySQL client info: 3.23.39
