RHEL4 comes with SELinux, which supports tighter access control for processes. If SELinux is enabled (SELINUX in /etc/selinux/config is set to enforcing, SELINUXTYPE is set to either targeted or strict), you might encounter problems installing Sun Microsystems, Inc. RPM packages.

Red Hat has an update that solves this. It involves an update of the “security policy” specification to handle the install structure of the RPMs provided by Sun Microsystems, Inc.
